NFL Rumors: Bengals Hope Wide Receiver Returns in Week 12

The Cincinnati Bengals are 5-4 through 10 weeks of the regular season, and they should get some help back for the crucial stretch run. The team expects wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase back for Week 12, per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Chase has been unavailable since Week 7 due to a hip injury. Despite the missed games, he remains the Bengals' leading receiver with 605 yards and six touchdowns.

So far over Chase's absence, the Bengals have alternated one disastrous game with one absolute triumph. The team stumbled badly in a Week 8 32-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns but bounced back for a dominant 42-21 win over the Carolina Panthers in Week 9. The Bengals will hope to survive at least one more game without Chase. They play the Steelers in this Week 11.

Chase joined the Bengals as their fifth overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft after two years with LSU. He hauled in 1780 receiving and 20 touchdowns for the undefeated NCAA Champion 2019 Tigers. He picked up right where he left off in the NFL, setting a franchise record as well as the rookie record with his 1455 receiving yards in 2021.
