Jets Work Out Veteran Offensive Lineman
The New York Jets have been one of the NFL's biggest surprises in 2022, and they've gotten to their 6-3 record despite all of the injuries suffered along the offensive line, with Alijah Vera-Tucker, Max Mitchell, George Fant and Mekhi Becton all missing significant time thus far in 2022.
This has led to them looking into the trade market for a replacement at tackle, and as they couldn't find one, they've now seemingly turned to a familiar face, with the team working out former Chiefs and Jets offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif today.
He came to the Jets after playing 7 years in Kansas City, as well as opting out of the 2020/21 NFL season to help fight on the frontline of the Covid pandemic, and he was traded to New York last season, and now, they clearly have interest in bringing him back. It's yet to be seen whether they bring him in officially, but the team worked him out today, and there's a chance he signs to add further depth to this talented team in the coming days.Reunion: Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, the FA OL who completed his residency program at a Montreal-area hospital, is working out for the #Jets today, source say.
