Jets Sign Veteran Offensive Lineman
The New York Jets yesterday worked out a familiar face in the form of offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif in the hopes of adding even more depth to this talented, yet injury riddled offensive line, and today, the team have officially signed him for the remainder of the 2022 NFL season.
The veteran guard spent seven years with the Kansas City Chiefs, before being traded to the Jets a year ago, but with a massive injury to second year star guard Alijah Vera-Tucker, the team needed more depth on the interior of the offensive line, so this figured to be the best move they could make following the 2022 NFL Trade Deadline.
With Nate Herbig and Laken Tomlinson the only guards currently on the roster, Duvernay-Tardif provides fantastic depth for a talented Jets team, and if they can stay heathy for the rest of the 2022 NFL season, this is a team that could make a surprising playoff run.The Doctor is in: The #Jets are signing FA OL Laurent Duvernay-Tardif after his workout on Monday, source said. Duvernay-Tardif finished a portion of his medical residency in Canada recently, liked his time with NYJ in 2021 and now is back.
