Ward was recently waived from the injured reserve by the Arizona Cardinals, but his hamstring injury doesn't seem to be much of a concern if the Jets are willing to bring him on.
With Breece Hall on the injured reserve and Michael Carter considered day-to-day with an ankle injury, Ward will operate as an emergency depth option on the team's practice squad.
Ward has played 32 career games, recording 33 yards on nine attempts. He's spent all three seasons of his career with the Cardinals.
