Injury Update On Giants Rookie Tight End

He underwent surgery last Friday to address damage to his septum as well as fractures on the lower window of his left eye socket.

Surgery was needed for the tight end Daniel Bellinger after he suffered the injury when he was poked in the eye during the New York Giants' Week 7 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Bellinger said he is improving and will play again this season but still needs time to heal.

The rookie tight end worked with trainers on the side during Tuesday and Wednesday's practice, but he'll for sure miss at least one more game.

The good news is the Giants have not placed Bellinger on the injured reserve, meaning they expect him back within the next 3-4 weeks.

The Giants' fourth-round pick in this year's draft has 16 receptions for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 18 targets through seven games this season.
