Giants Sign Former 1st-Round Pick Defensive Tackle

He has not appeared in a game yet this season.

The New York Giants have signed defensive tackle Vernon Butler to their practice squad.

Butler played 10 games for the Buffalo Bills last season, recording 11 total tackles. He is a former first-round pick by the Carolina Panthers in the 2016 NFL Draft.

The twenty-eight-year-old now has a chance to serve as added depth for the Giants' defensive line.

For his career, Butler has 106 total tackles, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, two fumble recoveries and three passes defended.
