Former Jets Tight End Suspended
Chris Herndon was once seen as a future starting tight end in the NFL, who could contribute significantly to a team, but after his rookie campaign, things went down hill, to the point where the Jets eventually traded him to Minnesota for a fourth round draft pick, and now, he finds himself as a free agent without a home in the NFL.
Unfortunately for the former fourth-round pick, he has now been suspended for the final 8 games of the 2022 NFL season, and while no reason has been given for the suspension, it's not a good look for the free agent, who has been suspended twice before in his brief NFL career. Over the time he has been on the field, Herndon racked up 75 catches for 868 yards and 8 Touchdowns, the majority of which came in his rookie campaign.
At this point, it would be a shock if Herndon ever played a significant role for an NFL team anytime soon, but after his 8 game suspension, he could wipe the slate clean and potentially build his way back up in the coming years.Former Jets and Vikings TE Chris Herndon - who is currently a free agent - has been suspended for the 8 remaining weeks of the 2022 NFL regular season.
