Falcons Head Coach Clarifies Stance On 'QB Situation'
The Atlanta Falcons lost their second straight game in Week 10, sending their season record to 4-6, and after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went to Germany and picked up a win, they've fallen into second place in the NFC South, and this has led to fans and people within the media suggesting that the Falcons have a QB situation on their hands, and could potentially turn to rookie Desmond Ridder as the starter.
Today, Arthur Smith, the Falcons Head Coach talked to the media, and addressed the supposed 'QB situation', completely dismissing the idea, saying that there was never a QB situation to begin with, and that people shouldn't be panicking after a bad 5 day period.
Marcus Mariota has been more than solid in 2022, but has struggled in recent weeks, and if that continues, there's a definite chance that they could consider the idea of Ridder as a starter, but right now, it looks like Smith and the Falcons are committed to their starting offence with Mariota at the helm.#Falcons coach Arthur Smith on QB SITUATION: “There is no situation. There was never a situation, ever. I don’t know where that…You understand why the question is getting asked. You lose two games in five days. Everybody wants to panic."
