Disgruntled Texans Receiver Expected To Play In Week 10
The Houston Texans made one of the biggest surprise moves at the 2022 NFL Trade Deadline, as they failed to move veteran receiver Brandin Cooks, who was understandably upset about this, as he is now stuck on a 1-win Houston team for the rest of the year, when instead he could be out helping a veteran team chase a Super Bowl victory.
He missed the following Week 9 matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles due to 'personal issues', and there were rumours floating around that he may do the same this week, but now, it appears that he has flown with the team to New York as the Texans look to battle the Giants, and is fully expected to participate for Houston.
On the season, Cooks has 32 catches for 354 yards and a Touchdown, so he has been as effective as ever, despite the lack of stellar QB play with young Davis Mills under centre, so while the situation is seemingly still ongoing, it has been smoothed out for Week 10 at least.Texans’ WR Brandin Cooks, listed as questionable for Sunday due to a wrist injury, made the trip to New York and is expected to play vs. the Giants, per source. Cooks wanted to be traded before deadline but wasn’t.
