Commanders Officially Announce Starting QB For Week 11

The Washington Commanders have been one of the NFL's hottest teams in recent times, as Taylor Heinicke has led this team to wins in four of their last five games, and now, they are sitting at 5-5 on the season, not too far out of a Wild Card spot in the 2022 NFC playoff picture.

Now, with Carson Wentz activated from Injured Reserve, the media implied that there would be a Quarterback controversy in the nations capital, but head coach Ron Rivera has put that to rest today, as he announced that Heinicke will continue as the teams starter going forward. He may not have the first-round pedigree that Wentz does, but he has shown over the past two years that he is a winner, and with the love of the locker room behind him, this is the man to lead the Commanders forward.

In four starts in 2022, Heinicke has a 5/4 TD/INT ratio, along with 840 passing yards, and while the stats on paper don't look incredible, he does what it takes to win and is a natural leader, so this was ultimately an easy decision, and the right one too.
