Colts Running Back To Miss Practice Today With Injury
The Indianapolis Colts have struggled mightily on the offensive side of the ball through 8 weeks in 2022, and while plenty of that blame lays at the feet of the Quarterback play, it certainly hasn't been a secret that the best running back in the NFL in 2021 has struggled mightily. Jonathan Taylor put up almost 2,200 all purpose yards and 20 Touchdown's a year ago, but thus far in 2022, he has just 500 with 1 Touchdown, and it's been detrimental to the success of this young team.
While the lack of success is due to a few factors, an ankle injury that hasn't stopped hindering Taylor all season may be the biggest of all, and after a crushing 17-16 loss to the Washington Commanders in Week 8, Taylor will be absent from practice Wednesday, while dealing with the ankle injury that's bothered him all season long.
After trading away Nyheim Hines, Deon Jackson and Zach Moss are the teams top two running backs, and if Taylor can't be ready to go against the New England Patriots in Week 9, then they'll need to rely on an unproven, talented young player and someone that was just acquired from Buffalo yesterday at the trade deadline.Colts’ RB Jonathan Taylor will not practice today due to an ankle injury.
