Colts Running Back Officially Ruled Out In Week 9
The Indianapolis Colts have had a horror run to start the 2022 NFL season, with a 3-4-1 record through 8 weeks, and after replacing Matt Ryan with young Sam Ehlinger in Week 8, things aren't looking any better for their Week 9 matchup in New England against the Patriots, as they've officially ruled out star running back Jonathan Taylor.
Taylor hasn't been healthy all year, and it's resulted in a huge step back for the Colts offensive output, but the last time he was ruled out, Deon Jackson starred in a Colts win, and if they are to get their season back on track and chase down the Tennessee Titans before it's too late, they'll need that again.#Colts coach Frank Reich says RB Jonathan Taylor is out for Sunday's game.

Ultimately, Taylor is still putting up solid numbers, with 550 all purpose yards and 1 Touchdown in just 6 games, but after a breakout 2021 that came with plenty of expectations, it's safe to say that he's been one of the biggest disappointments in the NFL thus far in 2022. It's unclear how long Taylor will be out at this point after not practicing all week, but even with the struggles, if Indy are to make anything of their season this year, they'll need him healthy.
