Chiefs Quarterback Seeking Redemption Against Titans

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Tennessee Titans on Sunday Night Football in Week 9, and they're colossal 12.5-point favorites to walk away the victors. However, their superstar quarterback Patrick Mahomes will need to avenge the worst game of his stellar career to do it. When the Chiefs last played the Titans in 2021, Mahomes scored a career-low three points while netting 175 passing yards and two turnovers. The 27-3 loss provided the Titans with a crucial tie-breaker that delivered them home-field advantage for the playoffs.

For whatever reason, the AFC South has proven a persistent thorn in Mahomes' side. He is 3-5 against the division in regular-season action, including two losses a piece to the Indianapolis Colts and Tennesse Titans.

If Mahomes' effort against the Titans last year wasn't the worst of his career, his loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV is the next logical contender. Mahomes netted 243 passing yards with two interceptions in the 31-9 defeat. He bounced back in this year's rematch, throwing for 249 passing yards and three touchdowns in a dominant 41-31 win. Chiefs fans would likely delight in a similarly massive swing.
