Chiefs TE Officially Ruled Out For Week 9
The Kansas City Chiefs officially ruled out tight end Jody Fortson in their Friday injury report ahead of their SNF matchup against the Titans.
Fortson's game status does not come as a complete shock after his non-participation in practice all week due to a quad injury and illness. He is the only player out on Sunday with an injury on Kansas City's roster.
Head coach Andy Reid stated on Friday that he expects newly acquired wide receiver Kadarius Toney to play on Sunday in his first game as a member of the Chiefs. The wideout did not appear on the Chief's injury report at all this week and as a result shouldn't be a healthy scratch.
Toney was traded to the Kansas City club ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline from the Giants for a conditional third and sixth-round pick.
