Chiefs Activate 2022 First-Round Pick
The Kansas City Chiefs were reportedly looking to acquire Josh Allen, Jaguars linebacker before the trade deadline, but they weren't able to get a deal done. Fortunately for Kansas City, they did have some good news as the trade window closed for the 2022 season, as they activated 2022 first-round pick Trent McDuffie from Injured Reserve, meaning that he is primed and ready to make his return to the NFL for the first time since being injured back in Week 1.
The star cornerback out of Washington was highly sought after in the second tier of his position in the draft, and was speculated to go anywhere from No. 10 onwards, but was eventually picked up by Kansas City at No. 21, and reportedly impressed many during the pre-season.#Chiefs activated 1st round pick CB Trent McDuffie from Reserve/Injured.

Unfortunately, he was only able to complete 1 tackle in his NFL debut against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 1, but now, after the teams bye week, he is slated to return and help out a secondary that has the potential to be one of the best in the AFC. The Chiefs offence remains their biggest weapon, but if this defence can become a solid contributor, Kansas City are once again primed for a huge run in the AFC when the playoffs roll around.
