Chargers Tight End a Surprise Inactive for SNF
The Los Angeles Chargers have good news and bad news when it comes to their receiving corps. On the one hand, wide receivers Keenan Allen and Mike Williams are officially active for the team's Sunday Night Football matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. On the other, tight end Gerald Everett is inactive despite initially not appearing on the team's Friday injury report.

Everett joined the Chargers as a free agent this past offseason and has rewarded the team with solid if unspectacular play at tight end. His 364 receiving yards rank fourth on the team, but his 6.6 yards per target indicate a lack of efficiency and explosive plays.
Everett entered the league as the Las Vegas Raiders' 44th overall pick of the 2017 NFL Draft. He totalled 127 receptions for 1389 yards and eight touchdowns in 61 appearances with the team. He joined the Seattle Seahawks in 2021 and had arguably his career year, setting personal bests in receiving yards (478), touchdowns (4), and yards per target (7.6). The season earned him a two-year, $12 million deal with Chargers this past offseason.
