Chargers Sign Kicker To Practice Squad

The Los Angeles Chargers haven't quite hit first gear yet in 2022, and it's resulted in them sitting at 4-3, well behind the Kansas City Chiefs in the very talented AFC West division, and ahead of their clash with the Atlanta Falcons in Week 9, it looks like they are dealing with some genuine injury concerns, as the team have three of their top offensive players under an injury cloud.

This latest news certainly won't help that issue, but today, the Chargers announced that they have signed kicker Cameron Dicker to the practice squad, who will immediately serve as depth for current starter Dustin Hopkins, a 9-year NFL veteran. Dicker is a rookie who has spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles this season, making 100% of the field goal attempts he's had so far, and while he's not going to land a starting job anytime soon in LA, it's a very good place to get some experience.

The Chargers are currently on the outside looking in at a playoff spot in the AFC, but if they can get rolling with a big win in Week 9 and Justin Herbert leading the way, this team has a good chance to live up to all the lofty expectations placed on them at the beginning of the season.
