Chargers Defensive Tackle Likely Done For Season
He may very well be done for the season.
Los Angeles Chargers coach Brandon Staley said that defensive tackle Christian Covington suffered a torn pectoral during Sunday's loss to the San Francisco 49ers and could miss the rest of the season.

Covington is likely to miss 4-6 weeks, at the very least, given the typical recovery timeline for low-grade pec tears, so expect to see the Chargers place him on the injured reserve sometime this week.
However, if the injury is a high-grade tear, the recovery could take 3-4 months, which would, of course, knock him out for the remainder of the season.
The Chargers keep getting dealt injury blows, with rookie defensive lineman Otito Ogbonnia also suffering a season-ending injury in Sunday's game.
In four games this season, Covington has 12 total tackles and 2.5 stuffs.
