Cardinals Waive Running Back From Injured Reserve
The Arizona Cardinals have struggled on both sides of the ball all season long, and despite no team running away with the NFC West, the Cardinals are seemingly out of playoff contention already, and yesterday, they made the move to waive a young running back.
Jonathan Ward has been on this roster for the past three seasons, but due to the running back depth, he's managed just 9 carries and 4 catches, despite appearing in 32 games over that time, but given the potential he's got, there's a good chance he could be picked up and given a chance as a depth piece going forward. The #Cardinals are waiving RB Jonathan Ward off injured reserve, per source. Ward played in 32 games over three seasons in Arizona and is fully healthy now from his hamstring injury. A potential waiver pickup for a playoff team needing some athletic backfield depth.

With James Conner, Keontay Ingram and Corey Clement all on the roster, there was just no need to keep Ward in his third season with very little contributions beyond special teams, and now, the Central Michigan man will be looking for a new home going forward.
