Williams had missed the previous two weeks before suiting for Week 8 against the Minnesota Vikings, playing 30 percent of the offensive snaps with seven touches for 14 yards. He worked behind Eno Benjamin as the No. 2 running back while James Conner was injured.
Williams was reportedly seen on crutches following Sunday's game and will now miss the next four games, at least. His first eligible game back would be on Monday, Dec. 12 against the New England Patriots.
So far this season, Williams has 102 rushing yards and one touchdown on 21 attempts.
