Buccaneers Receiver Practiced Friday, Expected To Play Sunday
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have once again had to rule out two of their key weapons for Week 9 in the form of Cameron Brate and Russell Gage, but they have received some good news, as Julio Jones was practicing on Friday, and is expected to be ready to go as the 3-5 Buccaneers battle the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday.
The team hasn't yet confirmed that he will be ready to go for the Week 9 clash, but after appearing in just 3 games thus far in 2022, his health would provide a big boost for a team that is looking to go on a run at the NFC South division title in the back half of 2022. In those 3 games, Jones has hauled in 6 catches for 97 yards and a Touchdown, so it's clear that he can still be effective at the NFL level, and if he plays in Week 9, that will be two straight games, which would give this franchise optimism that he could contribute for them consistently going forward.Julio Jones was out there at practice again today. Seems fine. I’d think they list him as questionable out of routine but I’d expect him to play Sunday. https://t.co/Q3HgCc3n2n

With Tom Brady at the helm, this team should never be counted out, and given Jones' pedigree as a superstar in the NFL, he could really hit first gear as the 2022 season hits its second half, and if that is the case, this could be a team to watch.
