Buccaneers Hoping to End Ugly Streak Against Rams
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are hoping to put an end to a three-game losing streak when they face the Los Angeles Rams in Week 9, but they'll have to reverse an even more alarming trend to do it. Since quarterback Tom Brady joined the team, the Bucs are 0-3 against the Rams, including a devastating loss in the 2021 playoffs.
The Rams' success against the Bucs dates back to 2020 when quarterback Jared Goff netted 376 passing yards in a hard-fought 27-24 win. Matthew Stafford widened the gap between the teams when he arrived in 2021, dominating the Bucs in a regular season 34-24 win and eeking out a tough 30-27 win in the Divisional Round. He combined for 709 passing yards, six passing touchdowns, and zero interceptions in the two matchups.During this Rams/Bucs week, don’t mind me if I’m living in La La Land remembering Cooper Kupps 183 yard heroic performance from last year in the playoffs pic.twitter.com/R8ra0pgcqW

The Bucs defense has been thoroughly dominated by Rams head coach Sean McVay and whichever quarterback he puts on the field, but Bucs quarterback Tom Brady hasn't carried his end of the bargain, either. Brady has totalled 927 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and four giveaways in the three losses.
The Bucs are running out of time if they want to save their season. At 3-5, they remain in contention for the NFC South crown, but they can't rely on their division rivals to struggle forever.
The Bucs host the Rams this Sunday at 4:25 pm ET in Week 9.
