Broncos Running Back To Miss A Few Weeks With Ankle Injury
The Denver Broncos made the unsurprising move earlier today of waiving veteran running back Melvin Gordon, leaving the running back room full of veterans with Latavius Murray, Marlon Mack and Chase Edmonds, but for at least a few weeks, they'll be down to just two of those.
The Broncos also announced that Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain in the loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, which will cause him to miss 'at least a few weeks', and given the differences in recovery time for the same injury we've seen all throughout this season, it's tough to tell exactly when he'll be back.Broncos’ RB Chase Edmonds suffered a high-ankle sprain Sunday and now is expected to miss “a few weeks”, per source.

So no Edmonds in a backfield that has parted ways with Melvin Gordon, too.
He's not yet been seen as a valued contributor for either Miami or Denver thus far in 2022, but with the release of Gordon, there was a chance that he was going to become the No. 1, but now, if the Broncos have any hope of making something of the 2022 NFL season, they'll need to rely heavily on Murray and Mack until further notice.
