Broncos Rule Out Wide Receiver for Week 11

The Denver Broncos league-worst offense could be in trouble against the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 11. Head coach Nathaniel Hackett announced at his Friday press conference that wide receiver Jerry Jeudy will miss Sunday's game. Jeudy suffered a concerning ankle injury on his first snap of the Broncos' Week 10 17-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans. There was optimism earlier this week that he might be able to make a quick return, but the Broncos apparently won't rush their promising young star back before he's healthy.

Jeudy is the second-leading receiver on the Broncos this year with his 449 receiving yards, and his 8.2 yards per target are the most among Broncos wide receivers with more than 20 targets. In spite of his promising play, the Broncos rank dead-last in scoring this season and sport a 3-6 record. His absence could cost the team dearly against the Raiders, who shredded the typically strong Broncos' defense for 32 points and 385 total yards in Week 4.

Jeudy joined the Broncos as their 15th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft after a three-year stint with Alabama. The young pass catcher nabbed 159 receptions for 2742 receiving yards and 26 touchdowns with the Crimson Tide. He has totalled 1772 receiving yards and six touchdowns across 35 appearances with the Broncos.
