Broncos Linebacker Sues The NFL
The NFL has seen plenty of injuries thus far in 2022, and it has sparked plenty of debate surrounding the turf vs. natural grass surface, but today, another debate was raised, as Denver Broncos linebacker Aaron Patrick is officially suing the NFL for the conditions that led to him tearing his ACL at So Fi Stadium back on October 17.
Patrick alleges that the defendants were "negligent in their operations" in creating a sideline atmosphere that caused him to tear his ACL as he was attempting to avoid sideline personnel, while also slipping on mats that were placed on the sideline, which will now cause him to miss the rest of the season, and perhaps part of the 2023 season as well.Broncos outside linebacker Aaron Patrick is suing the NFL, SoFi Stadium, the Chargers, ESPN and other entities, alleging the defendants "were negligent in their operations" in creating a sideline that led to Patrick's torn ACL on Oct. 17, according suit obtained by The Athletic.

It's hard to see exactly how this one will turn out, but it's easy to see why Patrick feels this way, as the sideline was crowded when he came crashing down and saw his season come to an end, but it's a story worth monitoring going forward.
