Bills Wide Receiver a Surprise Absence at Thursday Practice

The Buffalo Bills have had a tumultuous week since losing 33-30 to the Minnesota Vikings in overtime on Sunday, and today's practice provided yet another twist. Wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie missed Thursday's practice with an undisclosed illness.

McKenzie was a full participant in Wednesday's practice, so his unavailability Thursday is a sudden and unfortunate development. He has appeared in eight games for the Bills this year, starting six.

The Bills have already had plenty of complications this week; their Week 11 home game against the Cleveland Browns has been moved to Detroit due to a massive snowfall set to hit the Buffalo area. McKenzie's absence could make things more difficult for a Bills offense that has turned the ball over six times over the past two weeks.

McKenzie initially joined the Bills in 2018 after being released by the Denver Broncos. The former 172nd pick of the 2017 NFL Draft has totalled 1112 receiving yards in 62 appearances with the Bills and is on pace for a career year: his 27.4 yards per game this season are a personal best.
