Bills Star Safety To Miss Week 9
The Buffalo Bills are off to a red-hot start in 2022, and it's safe to say that the Super Bowl favourite tag placed on them before the season began hasn't effected them in any negative way, which is even more impressive when you consider the ridiculous amount of injuries this team has had to deal with through 8 weeks.
Ahead of their divisional clash with the surprising 5-3 New York Jets, the injury bug has struck again, as today, Head Coach Sean McDermott officially announced that star safety Jordan Poyer would miss the matchup with an elbow injury that's been nagging him for some time now. Poyer started off the season hot, with 4 Interceptions in the teams first three games, before missing three games due to injury, and now, is set to miss yet another game for a Bills defence that has seen inconsistent lineups all year long.
The depth of talent has allowed them to continue thriving thus far, and this is an injury that isn't expected to keep him out long-term, but if he continues to miss games going forward, it could have a detrimental effect on this very talented defence.#Jets coach Robert Saleh told reporters that WR Corey Davis (MCL) is out this week, but back after the bye. ... Meanwhile, #Bills coach Sean McDermott says S Jordan Poyer (elbow) is out for this game.
