Bears Place Running Back On Injured Reserve
The Chicago Bears, between Justin Fields, David Montgomery and Khalil Herbert have been running the ball at a historic pace thus far in 2022, being one of only two teams to average over 225 rushing yards per game in NFL history, as well as Fields being on pace to break the single season QB rushing record, but now, that ideology has taken a massive blow.
Today, the Bears had to place Herbert on the Injured Reserve list, meaning that he will miss at least the next four games, after he racked up over 700 All-purpose yards to go along with 6 Touchdowns through the Bears first 10 games, providing very solid relief when Montgomery has missed time. The Bears have placed RB Khalil Herbert on IR. He's out for at least four games.

They also waived DE Kingsley Jonathan and claimed DB Justin Layne off of waivers.
Montgomery is now healthy, so this Bears team can certainly survive this, but sitting at last place in the NFC North with just three wins on the season, it doesn't look like they are playoff bound regardless, but it's a major blow to what was a very promising sophomore season in the NFL for Herbert.
