Bears Fear Wide Receiver's Season Is Over
The Chicago Bears offence has taken off in recent weeks, giving the franchise a whole new level of optimism going forward, but unfortunately, with the injury knocking Justin Fields out of their Week 12 matchup with New York, they took a massive step back.
Not only did the offence look stagnant without Fields at the helm, but Darnell Mooney left the game, and now, the Bears can confirm that the young star receiver will be out for the remainder of the year, devastating news for the third year star and his chemistry with Fields.
Mooney will ned his third campaign with 40 catches, 493 yards and 2 Touchdown grabs, and with all the assets the Bears have this off-season, Mooney and this aerial attack could take a massive step forward in 2023, but for now, Mooney's promising 2022 season is over.#Bears WR Darnell Mooney will get more tests Monday, but the fear is he suffered a season-ending ankle injury in today’s loss to the #Jets, per source. pic.twitter.com/HjqgX01UtW
