Bears Elevate Veteran Quarterback To The Active Roster
The Chicago Bears have seen a breakout season from their young Quarterback Justin Fields, but he suffered an AC joint injury to his left shoulder in their Week 11 loss to the Atlanta Falcons, which has limited him in practice all week long, leaving many to believe it will be a battle of the backups as they take on Mike White and the New York Jets in Week 12.
In the biggest indicator yet that Fields' 'questionable' status will lead him to be out in Week 12, the Bears have today elevated former Bills and Raiders Quarterback Nathan Peterman, who in all likelihood would serve as the backup to veteran Trevor Siemian. The #Bears are elevating QB Nathan Peterman to the active roster today. They haven’t ruled Justin Fields out and could keep him in play until game time but it’s certainly feeling like Trevor Siemian could be the QB against the #Jets tomorrow.

If the Bears want to have any chance of finishing their season strong, they'll need to take down the Jets and their fantastic defence in Week 12, so Bears fans will be hoping that Fields can go, but right now, all indicators are that he will miss this week as a caution from the organization towards their biggest future asset.
