Young Rams Receiver Designated For Return From Injury
The Los Angeles Rams haven't looked anywhere near like they did in 2021 thus far in the 2022 NFL season, and with their hopes of Super Bowl glory tied up in their current core group, they'll need to turn it around soon if they wish to be the first team in years to win the big one in back-to-back years. The lack of production from this offence is a big reason why, and while the return of Van Jefferson on its own won't change things, adding another receiver that has chemistry already with Matthew Stafford certainly won't hurt.
In two years in the league with Los Angeles, Jefferson has hauled in 69 catches for 1,022 yards to go along with 7 Touchdowns, but it was his 2021 campaign that stood out most, as he became a genuine second or third weapon for Stafford and this offensive unit. Unfortunately, he has missed the entire 2022 season to date, but now, the Rams have officially designated him to return to practice, giving them 21 days to activate him to the official roster, which will be a major boost for this team.
Despite the addition of Allen Robinson from Chicago, the Rams just haven't started rolling yet, with a 3-4 record and a share of second place in the NFC West right now, but until this offence sorts itself out and gets on the same page, a very talented squad could end up being one of the leagues biggest disappointments in 2022.Reinforcements: The #Rams have designated DB Troy Hill, LB Travin Howard, and WR Van Jefferson to return off Injured Reserve. Their practice window is open.
