Veteran Wide Receiver Visits Detroit Lions

The Detroit Lions have had a very unique beginning to the 2022 season, with the No. 1 ranked offence in the league, offset by the No. 32 ranked defence, and at this point, that's not paying off, as the team has stumbled to 1-3, despite some very impressive outings. Even without Amon-Ra St. Brown and D'Andre Swift, the team managed to put up over 40 points in a loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but the absence has woken up the front office, as they are seemingly looking to add depth to the position.

Today, the Lions hosted veteran wide receiver Mohamed Sanu on a visit, and with budding superstars at the position, as well as a rookie who will be healthy soon, this could be a very low risk, high reward signing for Detroit.

No one expected them to be this good, this soon, but if the Lions can clean it up on the defensive side of the ball, we could be looking at a genuine playoff team in 2022. In 10 years in the NFL, Sanu has put together over 5,200 all-purpose yards, with 33 Touchdowns, including four through the air, with a completion rate of 7/8, and while he's not the player he once was, the Lions could use the veteran leadership if they believe they can make a run this year.
