Suspended Browns QB Officially Returns To Facility

The Cleveland Browns made the decision to trade for Quarterback Deshaun Watson in the off-season, and while it may pay off for them one day, it's certainly been a PR disaster for them in the short-term, as he was hit with a surprisingly lenient suspension of just 11-games in 2022. Through five weeks, Watson hasn't been allowed in the team facility at all, and while he can't quite practice with the team yet, today, he can officially join the facility to get treatment and work with individual coaches on drills.

Watson still won't return until Week 12 against his former team the Houston Texans, but right now, this is a step in the direction of Watson becoming the starting Quarterback of the Browns, a decision which will certainly draw the attention of opposing crowds upon his return.

In his time with the Houston Texans, Watson became a top-5 QB in the NFL, but with the off field indiscretions, he has become enemy No. 1 in the eyes of NFL fans, so the Browns are hoping the mega contract they gave him will pay off upon return. He's not quite there yet, but Watson being back in the facility will help get him acclimated in Cleveland, and if he can hit the ground running in Week 12, with the talent we've seen on this team so far with Jacoby Brissett at QB, this could be a very good team come seasons end.
