Scans Confirm 49ers Cornerback Has Torn ACL
The San Francisco 49ers, at 3-2 currently lead the NFC West, and given all the injuries they've dealt with through five weeks, it's a credit to how deep and well coached this team is that they've managed to continue winning games through it all. Unfortunately, they've now got another major injury, as scans today confirmed the worst on cornerback Emmanuel Moseley, as he has officially torn his ACL, and will be out for the rest of the season.
The 26-year old went un-drafted back in 2018, but has become a solid starter for San Francisco over the past few years, recording 28 pass deflections and three interceptions in his time at the NFL level so far, on a team that is used to getting the best out of their secondary.#49ers CB Emmanuel Moseley does, in fact, have a torn ACL, source said following the MRI. He is out for the season.

With this injury, San Francisco are now down to just four active cornerbacks on the roster, none of whom are proven at a high level in the NFL, and if they want to make a genuine run in the playoffs, they'll likely need to look outside of the organization for help at the position. Either way, we all hope that Moseley can get back from this, as he was growing into a really good cornerback, and now, the 49ers look to fill another void due to a very serious injury.
