Saints Wide Receiver Suffers Turf Toe Injury, Could Be Out For Season
The New Orleans Saints have struggled to have their full compliment of weapons on the field at once in 2022, with Jameis Winston, Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara all missing time, and today, they've suffered another injury which could potentially be a season ending one. Deonte Harty may not be the biggest name in the NFL, but he's become a solid wide receiver and a good return man for New Orleans over the past three years, and unfortunately, he suffered a turf toe injury in Week 5 that could see him miss significant time.
In 2021, Harty put up 570 receiving yards to go along with 3 Touchdowns, and with the injury cloud over Michael Thomas, he's a great depth piece to have along with weapons like Kamara, Jarvis Landry and the ever versatile Taysom Hill.Deonte Harty suffered a turf toe injury yesterday, according to a source. He is expected to miss some time. Fear is the injury could be significant.

Unfortunately, it's not great news for Harty, who was just beginning to solidify himself as a solid depth piece, and while he hasn't contributed much in 2022 so far, he's a valuable player for this squad that can step in and get some catches when needed. His 2022 season may or may not be over at this point, but right now, it's clear that Harty will be headed to Injured Reserve, and we hope that he can make it back in time to help the Saints make a playoff push in 2022.
