Rams Running Back Out In Week 6
The Los Angeles Rams have been uncharacteristically sloppy through five weeks in 2022, with a 2-3 record that isn't befitting of their status as defending Super Bowl Champions, and with a winnable game agains the Carolina Panthers up next, the last thing this team needed was for key players to be missing games. Aaron Donald and Cooper Kupp both missed practice earlier in the week, but seem to be on track to play, but one name that won't be around on Sunday is Cam Akers, who Head Coach Sean McVay revealed would not be available for the Week 6 matchup.
There was no reason given for Akers' absence from the game, with McVay being very vague about the reasoning behind it, stating that "we're working through some things", and while the rest of this story will play out over the coming weeks, it's clear that Darrell Henderson is now the No. 1 back in Los Angeles. Here’s #Rams HC Sean McVay talking about what’s going on with RB Cam Akers, who has been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
