Patriots Signing Special Teamer Off Ravens Practice Squad

The New England Patriots started off the 2022 season incredibly slow, but after back-to-back wins with rookie QB Bailey Zappe at the helm, and now, at 3-3, they find themselves right in the thick of the battle for the AFC East crown, despite the fact that they are tied for third place right now with the Miami Dolphins. Their roster has undergone plenty of injuries through six weeks, and one of the more overlooked injuries was special teamer Cody Davis, who is a favourite of Head Coach Bill Belichick, so naturally, the team had to replace him.

They did that by signing Raleigh Webb off the Ravens practice squad, and although special teams isn't the most valuable group on a team, they can provide major turning points and huge moments for a team, as evidenced by several big plays over the weekend.

Webb was signed as an un-drafted free agent in the 2022 draft, and while he's certainly not proven at the NFL level, special teams players thrive under Belichick and the New England Patriots, and there's a good chance that he can become a solid player in the league with New England.
