The Carolina Panthers will be without their starting quarterback in Week 6.
Baker Mayfield is listed as doubtful for Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Rams after not practicing Friday.

Coach Steve Wilks indicated that Mayfield ''had a great workout'' Friday morning, but the Panthers will start P.J. Walker at QB on Sunday against the Rams. Mayfield could potentially serve as the backup, however.
If Mayfield cannot serve as the backup this week, Jacob Eason is a candidate to be elevated to the team's practice squad ahead of Week 6's matchup.
Mayfield has thrown for 969 passing yards and four touchdowns, in addition to four interceptions, through the first five weeks of the season.
