Panthers Lock In Week 8 QB Starter
It's been an eventful season for the Carolina Panthers.
In three games this season, Walker has 297 passing yards and two passing touchdowns.
Panthers interim head coach Steve Wilks said that quarterback P.J. Walker will start in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons.

Steve Wilks said "as of right now" he sees no reason to start anyone at QB other than P.J. Walker.

Wilks also said that regardless of the status of the team's other quarterbacks, Baker Mayfield and Sam Darnold, P.J. Walker will start.
No one can blame the Panthers for sticking with Walker for a third straight week after the team's massive upset win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Also, not to mention, it's a fairly easy decision to make given how bad Mayfield has been when he's played this season.
Walker threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns on Sunday, not turning the ball over and registering a much better performance than his Week 6 one.

The Panthers are 2-5.
