Packers Receiver Will Not Practice, Questionable Sunday Vs. Bills
Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that their key receiver Allen Lazard will not practice on Wednesday and remains questionable for their Sunday matchup against the Buffalo Bills, according to Packers reporter Ryan Wood.
"We'll see," LaFleur said when asked about Lazard's status for Sunday.
Lazard injured his shoulder during their Week 7 loss (23-21) to the Washington Commanders, which is looming his Week 8 status. He left the game in the second half after taking a hit at the end of a first-down catch and did not return.
Reporters witnessed the 26-year-old pass-catcher wearing a sling on his left arm in the locker room on Monday.
Green Bay needs all the help they can get at their receiving core as they look to wipe their three-game losing streak on Sunday. Wide receiver Randall Cobb is on injured reserve with an ankle injury and rookie WR Christian Watson missed his last two campaigns with a hamstring injury.
In his 2022-23 season thus far, Lazard has 26 catches for 340 yards, and four touchdowns.
