Packers Receiver A Chance To Return In Week 7
The Green Bay Packers came into the 2022 NFL season with plenty of scrutiny on their wide receiver group, which, after trading away Davante Adams lacked more star power than most teams in the NFL, and six weeks in, the team is understandably struggling, as they've been devastated by injuries to that already under-manned group. This week, they've already ruled out rookie Christian Watson, along with veteran Randall Cobb who was injured in their Week 6 loss to New York, which doesn't equal a recipe for success, even with Aaron Rodgers playing Quarterback.
One positive piece of news is that Sammy Watkins has trained in a limited capacity this week, and if needed, there is a chance that he could get some snaps this week, and with Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs as Rodgers' top two targets, it would certainly be a huge help.#Packers down WRs Randall Cobb and Christian Watson. Sounds like Sammy Watkins could suit up but if he plays, it would be limited. We’ll see if he’s added to the active roster tomorrow. https://t.co/wRZUKDS1w6
