Packers Place One Receiver On IR, Activate Another From IR
The Green Bay Packers have struggled to throw the ball in 2022, due to facing some lethal defensive units, but also due to their lack of star power on the outside, and without a major move made in recent weeks, there's no sign that it's going to improve anytime soon. Today came with some good and bad news on this front for the Packers, as they placed veteran Randall Cobb on Injured Reserve, while activating another veteran in Sammy Watkins, who will play in a limited capacity in Week 7 as Green Bay take on the Washington Commanders tomorrow.
Now, Aaron Rodgers top two fully healthy weapons will be Allen Lazard and Romeo Doubs, but if Watkins can contribute in any way, it will be a major boost to a team looking to find itself in 2022 following a solid, but not spectacular 3-3 start to the season.Packers have activated WR Sammy Watkins off injured reserve, elevated LB La'Darius Hamilton from the practice squad to the active roster for gameday and placed WR Randall Cobb on injured reserve. Cobb is out a minimum of four games.
