NFL Week 7: Top 3 Defensive Performances
Scoring may be down in the NFL through seven weeks, but that doesn't mean there's any less great play. These three defenders pitched in incredible efforts for their teams in Week 7.

Linebacker Matt Judon has been one of the league's very best defenders to this point in the 2022 season, and he had perhaps his best game so far under the bright lights of Monday Night Football against the Chicago Bears. The eight-year veteran notched 2.5 sacks to give him a league-leading 8.5 after seven weeks, and he even deflected a pass at the line of scrimmage that resulted in an interception. Week after week, Judon is building a season that could eventually earn him Defensive Player of the Year consideration.

Safety Andrew Adams, Tennesse Titans
Perhaps no game had more meaningful playoff implications than the Indianapolis Colts facing off against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, and no player swung the game quite as much as safety Andrew Adams. Adams tallied 10 tackles for the Titans in their gritty 19-10 win, but more importantly, he returned an interception 76 yards for a touchdown. That play helped the Titans complete a regular season sweep against the Colts despite only totalling 254 yards in the game, putting the team alone atop the AFC South.

The Green Bay Packers lost 23-21 in a frustrating effort against the Washington Commanders, but Linebacker De'Vondre Campbell did all he could. Last year's All-Pro was everywhere for his team, totalling 12 tackles, three tackles for loss, and nabbing an interception he returned 63 yards for a touchdown. So long as the struggling Packers offense doesn't sabotage the season, Campbell could be in line for yet another All-Pro at the end of the year.
