NFL Rumors: Titans Sign Defensive Back from Jaguars Practice Squad
The Tennessee Titans are reportedly signing defensive back Josh Thompson from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Thompson, who signed with the Jaguars after going undrafted earlier this year, made the final 53-man roster, but was waived shortly after.
Thompson, 23, is looking to join Kevin Byard and Amani Hooker, who top the Titans safety depth chart. Hooker has missed the previous two campaigns due to a concussion and after the Tennessee club's Week 6 bye week his status is still unclear.
Tennessee is scheduled to faceoff against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, Oct. 23.
