NFL Rumors: Panthers Listening To Offers On Linebacker

The Carolina Panthers 2022 season has been a disaster thus far, and with a murky Quarterback situation, and no way to get out of the hole they find themselves in, so it looks like they will be one of, if not the biggest sellers in the entire NFL ahead of the 2022 trade deadline. They've already moved Robbie Anderson, and have begun taking calls on All-Pro running back Christian McCaffrey, and while some players like Brian Burns have been deemed untouchable, it's clear that they've got some pieces that will garner interest, which they would happily move.

One of those is linebacker Shaq Thompson, who was drafted in the first round by the Panthers back in 2015, No. 25 overall, and while he's not going to get them a return that other players would, he's still going to draw plenty of interest from playoff teams in the coming weeks.

Others on the trade block could be D.J. Moore and potentially Derrick Brown, but right now, it appears that they are motivated to move the versatile Thompson. He's played in 100 games for Carolina over his career, racking up 572 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 3 interceptions, and while not the biggest name, could be a huge piece for a playoff team needing talent on the defensive side of the ball.
