NFL Rumors: Lions' Rookie Receiver Should Return This Season
The Detroit Lions spent the 12th overall pick of the 2022 NFL Draft with an eye to the future. According to head coach Dan Campbell, that pick may soon pay dividends. Wide receiver Jameson Williams is progressing in his recovery from a January ACL tear, and the team expects him to contribute at some point this season.
Everyone wants to know about Jameson Williams. Dan Campbell just said "we feel like he's really coming on" and Detroit believes he'll play this season. "When he's ready, we'll get him up and ready to go."

Williams injured his knee in the NCAA Championship game in January of 2021. His play leading up to the misfortune was enough to earn the Lions' faith: he tallied 1572 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns across 15 appearances for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
When Williams returns, he'll join a receiving corps that includes wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown and tight end T.J. Hockenson. Williams should provide a deep compliment to their gritty, yards-after-catch play style.
Jameson Williams is SMOOTH 🔥

Williams joined the Lions as their 12th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft after splitting his college career between two powerhouses. Williams underwhelmed in two seasons with Ohio State before transferring to Alabama and exploding for his SEC-best 1572 receiving yards.
