NFL Rumors: Dolphins To Place Safety On IR; Season Could Be Over

He left in the fourth quarter of Sunday's game due to a knee injury. 

Now, Miami Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said Monday that safety Brandon Jones will be placed on the injured reserve.

The move isn't official yet, but it appears like Jones is headed for the injured reserve. 

McDaniel refrained from speaking on Jones' rest of season availability, saying that the team will get some second opinions and know more on Wednesday. 

Once Jones is moved to the injured reserve, he'll be forced to miss at least four games, but it sounds like he could be sidelined even longer.
