NFL Rumors: Cardinals Receiver Could Miss Rest Of Season
Arizona Cardinals receiver Marquise 'Hollywood' Brown suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury in Sunday's defeat vs. the Seattle Seahawks, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Brown will undergo further testing on Monday to determine the severity of the injury, Schefter adds.
The news of Brown's injury status comes off the heels of the Arizona club which traded for former Carolina Panthers wideout Robbie Anderson on Monday, who left his old team after being kicked out of the game on Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams.
Brown, who was traded from the Baltimore Ravens in April, has been the lead receiver for Arizona. In six games the 25-year-old has 43 catches for 485 yards, and three touchdowns.
Fortunately for the Cardinals the services of DeAndre Hopkins, who is released from his six-game suspension, will return this season to faceoff against the New Orleans Saints on a short week this Thursday.
The Cardinals currently reside at the bottom of the NFC West at 2-4 and will need all the help they can get if they want to make a playoff push this winter.
