NFL Rumors: Cardinals' Brown To Miss At Least 6 Weeks, Season No Longer In Jeopardy
Arizona Cardinals fans are probably breathing a huge sigh of relief now as one of their lead receivers Marquise Brown will reportedly return this season after suffering a potentially season-ending foot injury on Sunday, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Earlier on Monday a news report by ESPN's Adam Schefter stated that Brown could potentially miss the rest of the 2022-23 season, but following an MRI test today his foot reportedly isn't as bad as the Arizona club initially presumed.
Rapoport adds that the injury was a small, non-surgical fracture and that the recovery time is approximately six weeks. Brown will receive a second opinion from another doctor as a precaution before he moves forward with rehabbing the injury.
Brown will most likely land on the Cardinals IR list but should return for the final stretch of the season and link with receiver' DeAndre Hopkins for the first time this year, and newly acquired pass-catcher Robbie Anderson.
