NFL Rumors: AFC Team No Longer Interested In Broncos Star
The New York Jets suffered a loss to the New England Patriots at home in Week 8, but with a 5-3 record and a good shot at a playoff spot, the team is looking to be active ahead of tomorrows trade deadline, and according to reports earlier today, the team, along with division rival Miami Dolphins were interested in trading for Broncos star linebacker, Bradley Chubb.
Today, Jets beat reporter Rich Cimini has shot down those claims, saying that they Jets feel their defensive line is their best group on the team, and that giving up a first-round pick, reportedly Denver's asking price, and potentially a long-term blockbuster deal just makes little sense. The Jets have other holes to fill along the offensive line, and with a bright future, it's unlikely they want to give up high draft picks to compete in 2022, as they feel confident in the rest of the team right now.The #Jets have no interest in Bradley Chubb, I’m told. A very good player, but the defensive line is one of their strongest positions.

This comes on the back of a Peter King report earlier in the day that the team were very interested in Chubb, and while it would be a solid addition, it just makes no sense for this team, who are young and stacked along the line with Quinnen Williams, Carl Lawson and other talented young players.
